Why does my linked note say "Update available" or look out of date?

The app keeps a saved copy of each handwritten note for instant, offline viewing. If you've written more on that note since the app last copied it, the app flags "Update available" instead of silently re-fetching (re-loading a big note takes time and you might be mid-edit). Refresh it on demand and the flag clears. It can detect a newer version even while offline, by comparing when your to-do was last changed against when it saved the note.
