Can the app push completed (already-ticked) tasks, and does it carry the done state?

Yes — a push includes the task's current state, so a task you've already completed lands in your task app already marked done. But remember the hand-off is one-time: after that, ticking it done (or un-ticking it) on either side won't change the other.
